Yoga, accessible to everyone
I believe yoga is accessible to everyone, no prior experience needed. I especially enjoy teaching beginners.
You don't need to be flexible, just open to new possibilities.
I tailor my teaching to the needs of my students, while honoring the Hatha yoga tradition, and bringing them an energizing yet restorative journey that renews body, mind, and spirit. I have experience teaching everything from a gentle yoga to vinyasa and have taught people of all ages and abilities, from children to seniors and from athletes to those with mobility issues.
I am grateful to offer the following classes at this time:
Donation-Based Public Classes
Seymour Church on Alger on Monday evenings:
1/19 class is cancelled due to weather.
Gentle Yoga from 6-7 p.m.
Please visit this link for further details: www.facebook.com/share/14TPnnByfCz/
St. Andrew's Episcopal Church on 3 Mile on Tuesday evenings:
Gentle Yoga from 6-7 p.m.
Please visit this link for further details: www.facebook.com/share/1G2P42KV75/
Public classes are donation-based with a suggested donation of $5-$10.
More about Gentle Yoga:
In this class we will gently warm and open the body and settle the mind. We will focus on safe alignment and a mindfulness of the breath while linking it to movement. Perfect for beginners or those wanting or needing a slower-paced class.
All of the above classes do not require registration in advance, but registration is required when you arrive for your first class, so plan to arrive at least 10 minutes early. Participants are expected to work within their limits and to be mindful of cues and modifications provided by the instructor. Students should bring their own yoga mat, water, and any desired props, such as a block or strap. Masks are optional.
For classes at Seymour, please park in the lot on the south side of the church and not in the Alger Heights Business Association lot so that lot remains open for customers at those businesses. Enter through the south doors.
For St. Andrew's classes, enter through the office door on the northeast end of the church.
Wellness Academy Class
I am teaching a class on Tuesday mornings from 8:30-9:30 at the Wellness Academy (former Cascade Yoga) at The Center for Physical Rehabilitation on Cascade Road. This and a variety of other fitness and wellness classes are offered via drop-in rate, packages, and membership options. You can learn more here.
