Yoga, accessible to everyone
I believe yoga is accessible to everyone, no prior experience needed. I especially enjoy teaching beginners.
You don't need to be flexible, just open to new possibilities.
I tailor my teaching to the needs of my students, while honoring the Hatha yoga tradition, and bringing them an energizing yet restorative journey that renews body, mind, and spirit. I have experience teaching everything from a gentle yoga to vinyasa and have taught people of all ages and abilities, from children to seniors and from athletes to those with mobility issues.
I am grateful to offer the following classes at this time:
Seymour Church on Alger on Monday evenings:
Gentle Yoga from 6-7 p.m.

-Gentle Yoga
In this class we will gently warm and open the body and settle the mind. We will focus on safe alignment and a mindfulness of the breath while linking it to movement. Perfect for beginners or those wanting or needing a slower-paced class.
Vinyasa Flow (on hiatus)
Vinyasa Flow will be a more vigorous flow than our Gentle class. It will include centering and breathwork, followed by a series of poses that open up and warm the body, leading to a continuous flow of poses that prepare the body for a peak pose. We'll finish with some seated poses and savasana. Though the pace of the class will be quicker than Gentle, and some poses may be more challenging, we will remain committed to proper alignment, engagement, form, and breath. An established practice or prior experience is preferable, but not required.
All of the above classes do not require registration in advance, but registration is required when you arrive for your first class, so plan to arrive at least 10 minutes early. Participants are expected to work within their limits and to be mindful of cues and modifications provided by the instructor. Students should bring their own yoga mat, water, and any desired props, such as a block or strap. Masks are optional.
For classes at Seymour, please park in the lot on the south side of the church and not in the Alger Heights Business Association lot so that lot remains open for customers at those businesses. Enter through the south doors.
For St. Andrew's classes, enter through the office door on the northeast end of the church.
